Lil' Cubs is the exciting, bold, fun new(ish) brand from mama powerhouse, Tabitha. Loved by mums and celebs alike, the gorgeous designs are made from super soft luxury cotton jersey, using eco friendly dyes so are perfect for protecting your little one's skin as well as the environment.
We caught up with Tabitha to meet the mama behind the brand...
Tell us a bit about yourself and the inspiration that led to Lil' Cubs
"I'm Tabitha, mama to Huxley, 4 and Hugo, 2 and we live in Harpenden, Herts.
I started Lil' Cubs because I knew I couldn't go back to my job of managing an art gallery after Hugo was born. How do people afford 2 children in childcare?! So I started to think about our future and work out my next move. 85% of Lil' Cubs was set up on my iPhone during those long breastfeeds where you're stuck in a chair with nothing else to do!"
How do you balance your work with motherhood?
"That's quite a tricky one and quite an appropriate question to ask me at the moment as I am actually on holiday in Spain and I have got my laptop here and I'm sitting out on the balcony, you can probably here Hugo, my youngest, chatting away behind me. I've put Peppa Pig on so that I can get a little bit of work done before we go to the pool. I suppose it's just about working out what is the most important thing that needs to be done at each moment in time"
What is your favourite brand?
"Lennie & Co. I love their fun approach to kiddie clothing. Amy block prints all of her number tees and they are perfect birthday presents."
If you could name one brand to watch, who would it be?
"My one to watch are the awesome power duo Liz Chan from Fickle Craftroom and Claire Spake. They have teamed up to create False Forever on Instagram. Claire also designed the penguin print for Lil' Cubs."
